Bonar, Price shine in N-S classic

COLUMBUS — Shadyside’s Karli Bonar and River’s Brett Price completed their high school basketball careers Sunday afternoon here at Capital University during the annual North-South Classic.

Bonar, the state’s all-time leader in made three-point field goals with 350, nailed three more for nine points as the South prevailed, 96-91, in overtime.

The Tigers’ long-distance ace will attend the University of Findlay to continue her academic and athletic careers.

Price, a standout scorer for Mark Romick’s Pilots, tallied five points and handed out seven assists in a 102-89 victory by the South boys.

Price is still undecided upon his college choice.
