Cisar pitches Maynard by Shadyside

Visiting Maynard parlayed another strong outing from starting pitcher Mark Cisar into a 4-1 victory Tuesday evening on Fleming Field in Steele and Cook Insurance Ohio Valley Baseball League action against Shadyside.

Cisar allowed one run on three hits before giving way to Josh McKown in the seventh, who claimed the save. Cisar struck out five while not walking a batter.

Ryan Jarvie knocked in a run for Maynard (12-5) in the fourth on a double while B.A. Holloway plated a run, collecting two hits, one a double.

Ross Palicka doubled for the Casket Makers (3-11).

Maynard returns to action tonight on the road against Barton. The Braves were rained out last night against Marshall County. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m.

IN Games not reported, Lafferty defeated West Liberty 4-1 and the Wheeling Cardinals routed the Wheeling Yankees 16-1.
