St. Clairsville’s Monteroso breaks collarbone
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue freshman wide receiver Dan Monteroso will be sidelined an extended period of time after breaking his collarbone during practice Thursday evening.
Boilermakers’ head coach Darrell Hazel confirmed the injury after Friday’s morning practice and announced that the St. Clairsville all-Ohioan will undergo surgery Saturday.
The injury occurred as Monteroso went up for a catch, was hit and fell awkwardly to the ground. He left practice immediately.
It’s unsure how long Monteroso will be out of action.
