Prep Volleyball Roundup: Indian Creek tops Big Reds spikers in three sets

Indian Creek had no trouble with Bellaire Monday evening in girls’ volleyball action, posting a three-game win. The Lady Redskins prevailed by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-9.

Creek was led by Bre Berryman who had 17 kills, a block and a dig. Jessica Furda added 26 assists, six aces, three kills and six digs. Bethany Davis had six kills, three digs, three assists and an assist.

Bellaire was paced by Talia Duffy who had 10 digs. Mary Garloch added nine points and six assists.

St. John wins 10th match

St. John Central ran its record to 10-1 Monday evening with a 17-25, 25-21, 25-15 and 25-18 victory against invading Conotton Valley.

The Lady Irish received solid production from Karlee Vostatek who had seven points and nine assists. Lindsee Perry had 12 points, three aces and three kills. Amber LaMotte had 12 points and five aces. Lindsey Froelich added 10 kills and six blocks. Caitlin Sliva donated nine points, four aces and three kills.

St. C. falls to Coshocton

St. Clairsville dropped a tough five-game verdict to Coshocton Monday evening by scores of 13-25, 25-23, 21-21, 25-22 and 15-9.

St. C. was led by Brigee Mick’s 19 points, three aces, 15 digs and 10 kills. Gabbie Espen had nine points and 32 assists. Rebekah Sadlowski had 13 digs and eight kills. Alexis St. Clair finished with 12 points, four aces, seven kills and four blocks.

Beallsville sweeps Valley

Beallsville scored a three-game sweep against Valley Monday night, prevailing by scores of 25-23, 25-9 and 25-19.

Leading the way for the Lady Blue Devils was Morgan Marley, who had 20 assists and two aces. Ella Campbell had 13 points, eight kills and five aces. Shania Phillips donated nine kills, six points and three assists. Rikki Decker posted seven points and five aces, while Lexi Thornberry finished with five points and four aces.

East Richland Christian upends Carroll Co. Christian

East Richland Christian needed four games, but posted a victory against Carroll County Christian. The Lady Lions prevailed by scores of 25-22, 25-20, 18-25 and 25-14.

Alyssa Crowley had 11 aces, 13 points, two kills and two digs. Rebekah Mitchell added four kills. Susanna Yourko had a big game with 10 aces, 10 points, 20 sets and two digs. Alyssa Blodgett had four aces, four kills and eight points.

River tops Caldwell

River defeated Caldwell in four games. The Lady Pilots were led by Jensen Caretti’s 17 kills and six blocks. Monica Curtis had 27 assists, six digs and two aces. Amanda Bennett had three kills, seven aces and a block. Brielle Williams had seven kills. Mackenzie Wade added four digs.

Bulldogs down Wildcats

Amber Millard had 21 points and 10 digs as Bridgeport (5-4) topped Paden City (6-3) 25-23, 18-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Alysa Cook added 13 points, 20 assists, seven aces and seven digs for the Bulldogs, while Maclaine Murad had 12 points and 11 digs and Briana Massey scored 11 points.
