Shadyside spikes ERC

EAST RICHLAND – Samantha Rosser scored 19 points, with 14 aces and three kills Saturday as Shadyside picked up its second volleyball victory of the season, 25-10, 25-8, 25-6, to complete a season-sweep of East Richland Christian.

Kelsey Fielding added 16 points and seven aces for the Tigers, while Kensey Chimley and Angelina McKeever each had 10 points.

St. Clairsville Splits

MIDDLEBOURNE – St. Clairsville split a pair of matches, defeating University, 25-16, 25-17, while falling to Tyler Consolidated, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17.

In the victory against the Hawks, Brigee Mick scored 12 points for the Red Devils, with seven kills. Summer Gallentine added five digs, while Alexis St. Clair had eight points and six digs.

Mick recorded 10 points, 12 digs and nine kills against the Silver Knights, while St. Clair had eight points. Rebekah sadlowski collected seven points and 11 digs, while Brooke Robinson had 11 digs, Gallentine had 17 digs and Gabbie Espen dished out 25 assists.

Trail Sweeps Frontier

Kelsey Beros had 19 points, 12 digs and was 20 of 20 serving as Buckeye Trail swept Frontier, 25-8, 25-5, 25-12 in a PVC tilt.

Lexe Starr added 15 points, 10 kills and seven digs for the Warriors (4-1 overall, 3-1 PVC), while Alexis Wheeler had nine points. Jennifer Burga added 19 digs.

The Cougars remained winless (0-4, 0-3).
