Trail sweeps Caldwell

OLD WASHINGTON – Kelsey Beros, Buckeye Trail’s lone senior, made her return to the court a successful one.

She scored 12 points, with six aces, charted eight digs, six kills, two saves and a kill in the Warriors’ 25-8, 25-6 and 25-8 triumph over visiting Caldwell Tuesday night in girls’ high school volleyball action.

Lexe Starr added 18 points, nine kills, three blocks, three digs and two saves. Jennifer Burga chipped in 13 points, 22 assists and six digs. Josie Hensley had 11 kills and six points.

Monroe Central Defeats Frontier

At Skyvue, the Seminoles took down the Cougars by scores of 25-22, 25-23, 19-25 and 25-15.

Kelsey Dick led the winners with 13 points, two aces, eight kills and 15 assists. Katelynn Dimmerling added 13 points, five aces, and 10 assists. Carly Baker had 10 points, two aces, and 13 digs. Molly Schumacher donated six kills and two blocks.

Conotton Valley

Tops Harrison Central

At Cadiz, it was Senior Night inside the John W. Stephenson Center, but the host Huskies lost in four sets to Conotton Valley by scores of 16-25, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-17.

Jesse Ledger had 19 digs, four kills, and a block to lead the hosts. Katie Stackhouse added 12 kills and 14 points, while Chelsea Toland had 13 digs and a pair of kills. Lesley Decker chipped in with seven kills and nine points. Tirzah Curry had 14 digs and 26 assists.

Harrison Central is back in action in the Div. III sectional tournament next Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Ridgewood at Strasburg.

Central Sweeps Shadyside

At Wheeling, the visiting Tigers fell in three games to the homestanding Maroon Knights by scores of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-11.

The Lady Tigers were paced by Kenzie Fielding’s five kills.

Samantha Rosser had three points and two aces, while Jonna Eniex added three points.
