VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Indian Creek sweeps Jets

Indian Creek made quick work of homestanding Union Local Thursday evening in an OVAC Tournament tuneup. The Lady Redskins posted a sweep by scores of 25-8, 25-15 and 25-14.

The Lady Redskins (16-2) were led by Kiarra Kamarec’s three aces, eight kills, five blocks and four digs. Jessica Furda added 30 assists, four aces, five kills and nine digs. Whitney Martin had 12 blocks and 14 digs. Bethany Davis donated four assists, three aces, seven kills and 12 digs.

River sweeps Wildcats

River prepped for its appearance in the OVAC Tournament by topping Paden City 25-17, 25-21, 25-10.

Mackenzie Wade had 22 points and eight digs for the Pilots, while Mackenzie Marshall had 20 points, six aces and five digs.

Monica Curtis had 10 points and 12 digs and Jensen Caretti posted 15 kills, 11 assists and nine digs.

Barnesville downs Bellaire

Sydney Ralston scored 14 points and had seven kills as Barnesville defeated Bellaire 26-24, 21-25, 25-11, 25-16.

Shasta Roberts added 12 points for the Shamrocks, Paige Huntsman had 27 assists and 14 digs and Miranda Plumly had 28 kills and 12 digs.

Tori Duffy scored 15 points and dished out 16 assists for the Big Reds. Mary Garloch added 14 points and 14 assists; Cari Crozier had 12 points and seven kills; Mackenzie Conroy had 12 points; Hunter Eden had 10 points and 10 digs; Megan Maffe had 10 points; Morgan Runyan recorded 20 digs; and Talia Duffy had 15 digs.

Shenandoah downs Monroe Central

Rachel Rossiter and Ashlee Wukelich each scored 10 points as Shenandoah topped Monroe Central 25-18, 25-17, 25-10.

Katelyn Dimmerling had four points and four assists for the Seminoles, while Carly Baker and Kelsey Dick recorded 17 and 15 digs, respectively.

ERC defeats Coshocton Christian

Susanna Yourko had 14 sets as east Richland Christian defeated Coshocton Christian 25-17, 25-19.

Alyissa Crowley added five points for the Lions.

Crowley also had six digs and Yourko had 15 sets as ERC dropped a 25-9, 25-6 decision to Gospel Haven Academy.
