Five local wrestlers win at Tyler

KIDWELL, W.Va. — Five local wrestlers emerged with championships during Saturdays Larry Remmert Tournament at Tyler Consolidated High School.

St. Clairsville, which finished third in the team standings behind Magnolia (195.5) and Toronto (184) with 164.5 points, had four of those titlists. Bridgeport, which ended up fifth with 103 markers, had the other.

Red Devils claiming championships included Alex Timko (113), Colton Stevens (138), Cole Skaggs (160) and Michael Furbee (220).

The Bulldogs Brad Tomolonis won at 170.

A pair of St. C. grapplers — Jamey Creer (106) and Crawford Hall (145) — were second-placers. Two others placed in the top four.

Bridgeport had three other placewinners.
