Prep Hoops Roundup: Beallsville falls at Cameron

BEALLSVILLE – Jordan Stephens is still seeking his first career victory as Beallsville’s boys head coach.

The youthful Blue Devils (0-4) just can’t seem to put a full four quarters together, as evidenced by Tuesday night’s 72-47 loss to visiting Cameron on the home boards.

Trailing 9-7 after eight minutes, Beallsville watched as the Dragons (1-1) went on a 20-9 scoring binge in the second quarter to take command. A 19-8 scoring advantage in the third frame sealed the deal.

Chad Louden and Tristan Palmer evenly divided 28 points for the Blue Devils.

Cameron also won the JV game.

Beallsville travels to Bishop Donahue Friday night.

Caldwell 68, Barnesville 55

BARNESVILLE – the visiting Redskins (5-1) slowly pulled away from the Shamrocks (0-4) inside The Green House in western Belmont County.

Isaac McGee paced Barnesville with 15 points. David Stewart added a dozen. Brian Clark chipped in nine.

Barnesville visits Shenandoah on Saturday night.

Conotton Valley 42, E. Richland Christian 38

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Brandon McCreary scored 10 points as Conotton Valley edged East Richland Christian.

Jeremiah Mott once again paced the Lions, this time scoring 14 points.

All told, East Richland Christian made nine 3-pointers.
