Saturday night prep basketball roundup: Bellaire splits at Edison

RICHMOND – Erik Lee scored 16 points to lead five double-figure scorers as Edison topped Bellaire.

Storm Allese and Skylar Wilken each added 15 points and Dylan Jones and Bryce Piatt each finished with 10 for the Wildcats (4-8).

Kenny Hess’ 21 points paced the Big Reds. Tyler Ramsey finished with 20 and sophomore Michael Neil added 17.

Monroe Central 65, River 57

HANNIBAL – Zach Jorris scored 18 points in leading Monroe Central past River.

Chandler Kuhn added 17 and Bryan Duffy 16 for the Seminoles (12-2).

Leading the way for the Pilots (2-11) was Eric Dierkes with 21 points. Jarrett Armann added 16 and Parker Caretti 12.

Meadowbrook 67, Barnesville 43

BARNESVILLE – Isaiah Green and Cameron Summers each scored 18 points as Meadowbrook knocked off Barnesville.

Justin Fork added 13 for the Colts (8-7).

David Stewart, Isaac McGee, and Zack Houston each scored nine points to pace the Shamrocks (4-10).

St. John 70, Valley 61

KIDWELL – Garrett Holubeck hit five 3-pointers and wound up with 25 points as St. John bounced back with a victory against Valley in the consolation game of the Boggs Roundball Classic.

Lance Williams finished with 19 points and Guy Pagano added 10 for the Fighting Irish.

Jack Wells led the Lumberjacks with 19 points. Trey Streets added 16 and Tristan Kocher 10.

Holubeck was named to the all-tourney team.


Bellaire 68, Edison 47

RICHMOND – Kierstyn Kidder scored 26 points to lead Bellaire by Edison.

Nina Crook added 16 points and Cari Crozier finished with 11 for the Big Reds.

Leading the way for the Wildcats was Kaylinn Drabick and Amara Proffitt, each with nine points.

Linsly 53, Shadyside 35

WHEELING – Morgan Brunner and Jazzie Orth each scored 14 points to lead Linsly past Shadyside.

Vivian Allison added nine points for the Cadets (12-1).

Toni Andes scored 26 of her Shadyside’s 35 points.
