Visnic races to pair of ATV victories

MOUNT MORRIS, Pa. – St. Clairsville’s Jacob Visnic continued his push towards a national title on the 2014 Mountain Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Tour.

The 11-year-old had another outstanding weekend during the Maxxis ATV Stampede at High Point Raceway. He finished first in two of the three classes in which he competes.

In the 90 Jr. Auto (8-11), he placed first in both motos to pick up 30 points for the third straight tour stop, and increased his lead over second-place Grant Landis, of Manheim, Pa. Visnic now totals 90 points, which is 26 ahead of Landis.

In the 70 Auto (6-11), he also captured both motos for 30 points. He leads second-place Cale Deal, of Lakeland, Fla., by five points, 85-80.

In the 90 Shifter, he finished fifth in both motos for 16 points. He has 43, which is 47 behind the leader.

The fourth stop on the tour takes the competitors to Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, Ill., for the Amsoil ATV Showdown on May 31 and June 1.
