St. C. falls to Cambridge

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Ever since winning the 22nd annual Don Coss Tournament last weekend, St. Clairsville Post 159 has struggled.

Visiting Cambridge Post 84 tallied three runs in the top of the third inning to overcome a 2-0 deficit en route to a 5-2 triumph Saturday afternoon on the Memorial Park diamond in the first game of a doubleheader.

Eric Banal singled and doubled to drive in a run for Post 159, which is now 22-8. Michael Jacob singled twice. Tyler Ramsay drove in the other run with a sacrifice fly.

The second game didn’t finish in time for The Times Leader’s Sunday edition.
