St. C. Legion wins two
The St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159 baseball team picked up a pair of wins Thursday night in the Cambridge Tournament.
St. C. toppled Cambridge, 17-9 and then knocked off Parkersburg, 16-12.
Against Cambridge, Cody Goletz earned the mound victory. He went five innings and struck out seven.
Bailey McGrath had three base hits, while Michael Jacob had a trio of hits and three RBI. Dillon Curtin had three hits and a RBI, while Tyler Ramsay had two hits and drove in a run. Malik Gummer added two doubles and two RBI.
Against Parkersburg, St. C. had to rally from a 6-0 deficit to prevail.
Ramsay had two singles, a three-run home run and seven total RBI. Hunter Westlake added three singles, a double and four RBI. Jacob came through with four singles and two RBI. McGrath added a single, double and a triple.
St. Clairsville is in action back at Don Coss Field today. It will meet Findlay at 2:30 and Massillon at 7:30 p.m.
