Barnesville moves to 2-0 in volleyball

Barnesville moved to 2-0 in volleyball action with a clean sweep of visiting Union Local Tuesday night.

The Shamrocks won by scores of 25-23, 25-16 and 25-16.

Leading the winners was Miranda Plumly with 23 kills, nine digs, six points and three aces. Sydney Ralston added 11 kills, six digs, four points and was 9-for9 serving. Layna Broomhall contributed 17 assists, a dozen points, four digs and two kills. Paige Huntsman finished with 18 assists, 10 points, seven kills and four points. Shasta Roberts chipped in five points, three digs, two aces and two assists while going 10-for-10 serving. Avery Hanlon had nine digs, four points and four assists.

The Jets (0-1) were led by Adrean Carlite with 26 assists, five points, three kills and an 8-for-8 serving night. Katie Bashline added six points, three aces and 7-for-10 serving. Kaitlynn Clark-Patterson had five points, four aces, two kills, a pair of assists and two blocks. Mikayla Patton finished with four points and a like number of kills.

Barnesville also won the JV match.

Meadowbrook d. St. C.

The Red Devils fell to Meadowbrook by scores of 12-25. 17-25. 25-21. 12-25

Kipra Rhodes had eight points and five kills for St. C. Rebekah Sadlowski added five points, five kills and 10 digs.

Alexis St Clair 16 finished with digs and Courtney Storer charted nine assists.
