Trail tops Barnesville; Beallsville wins first
OLD WASHINGTON — Buckeye Trail scored the first 14 points of the game and never looked back en route to a convincing 43-12 win against Barnesville Friday night at the Baker Activity Complex.
The Warriors received five touchdowns from talented running back Austin Snodgrass. He scored on runs of 1, 46, 70, 6 and 34 yards. All told, he finished 289 yards on 29 carries.
Barnesville made it a 14-6 reading early in the second quarter when Cade Hannahs found Jacob Gallaway from 69 yards out.
The Warriors, who didn’t complete a pass, ran for 413 yards on 50 carries. Barnesville accumulated just 38 yards on the ground, but threw for 180 on 12-of-27 accuracy.
Beallsville 51, Hundred 0
BEALLSVILLE — It’s been a long time coming for the Blue Devils. But, it’s better late than never. Beallsville posted a decisive 51-0 victory against Hundred Friday night in Monroe County.
Jason Beisel led the Blue Devils with 147 yards and scored three touchdowns on seven carries. Dakota Phillips, Koty Milosavljevic and Casey Hill each had a touchdown for the Blue Devils, who ran for 322 yards.
Wyatt Brown got into the scoring act by virtue of a 43-yard interception return.
The Blue Devils are now 1-2 on the season.
