Harrisville UMC to host outdoor Fourth of July celebration

Photo provided THE PUBLIC is invited to enjoy a Fourth of July celebration at Harrisville United Methodist Church. The outdoor event will include a patriotic message, music and cookout.

HARRISVILLE — The Harrisville United Methodist Church is slated to host an outdoor Independence Day Celebration at 11 a.m. July 4 with live patriotic music, a message by the Rev. Ken Staley, and a cookout to follow at noon. Everything will take place in the church’s parking lot, and everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

The church is located at 49355 U.S. 250, Harrisville.

Church member Dustin Kinsey said, “This is a great opportunity for people who don’t have a church home or have never been to church. The celebration takes place outside with the church providing the cookout-style lunch and the parking lot trees providing the shade.

“Three things you can count on from the Harrisville UMC are vibrant music, relatable messages, and friendly people. You’ll get all three at 11 a.m. this Independence Day.”

In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held inside the church, and lunch will be served at the Harrisville Fire Hall.
