Master Gardeners planning event
SCIO _ People are invited to join the Jefferson and Harrison Master Gardener Volunteers on Saturday, Sept. 11, to learn about gardening for indoor and outdoor locations during the fall and winter months.
From bonsai techniques to winter room design, participants will enjoy hands-on learning and get to take home a craft and variety of plants.
The event will be held at the Scio Branch Library Lower Level, 331 W. Main St., Scio.
The cost of $30 per person to cover speaker fees, craft supplies and handouts.

Free coffee, tea, and morning snacks provided along with lunch. Stop by the yard sale table to purchase garden tools, gloves and more. Mums will be available to take home with donation.

9 a.m. — Gardening with Tropical-Looking Plants;
9:30 a.m. — Make-and-Take Garden Gnomes;
10:30 a.m. — Herbs for the Winter;
10:45 a.m. — Growing African Violets;
11:30 a.m. — Lunch;
12:15 p.m. — Bonsai Using Houseplants;
1 p.m. — Garden Topiary Designing; and
1:30 p.m. — Landscaping a Winter Room.
