Thursday Music Club luncheon is May 3

WHEELING — The Thursday Music Club will have its inaugural luncheon at 11 a.m. May 3 at the Stifel Fine Arts Center.

Outgoing President Lynn Welsh will install the new officers, President Geri Sloane, Vice President Judy Szymialis, Secretary Arlene Lawson, Treasurer Carol Couch, and pass the gavel to the incoming president, Geri Sloane.

Welsh, Vice President Suzie McCormick, Secretary Arlene Lawson, Treasurer Carol Couch, outgoing officers, are in charge of table decorations and greeting members and guests.

Music will be provided by Elizabeth Conley, a mezzo-soprano studying as a double major in Music Education and Music Performance at West Liberty University. Conley grew up near Washington, D.C. and attended high school in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia.

She will graduate in December 2018 and plans on auditioning to perform on cruise ships as a vocalist/dancer.

Member Judi Porterfield will cater the lunch and there is a cost for the lunch. You must have a reservation. Call Emily Mayer at 304-232-1714 by Monday, April 30, to make a reservation.
