Barnesville Hospital Foundation offers Estate Planning Workshop

BARNESVILLE — The final session in Barnesville Hospital Foundation’s Financial Planning Series will be Estate Planning, presented by Kyle Witucky, attorney at law. This program will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Barnesville Hospital Classroom.

“Estate Planning is for everyone not just the wealthy or the retired,” said Jan Chambers, Barnesville Hospital Foundation director of development. “If you don’t have a will, upon your death the state will determine how your assets are distributed. A surprising 55 percent of adults don’t have a will. I encourage everyone to stop out and learn the importance of estate planning. “

Estate Planning will offer guidance on last wills, health care powers of attorney and living wills, financial powers of attorney and probate avoidance techniques. Witucky will present from 78 p.m. and then there will be time allowed for questions.

“My job is to help people solve problems. Not all problems are bad; many problems are good,” Witucky said. “I want to help the successful family farm or business transition their farm or business to the next generation. And when working with clients who own land or minerals, I want to see how I can protect them.”

Everyone is welcome to attend to learn about estate planning. There is no charge. RSVPs are encouraged for planning purposes but not required. For information or to RSVP, contact Chambers at jchambers@barnesvillehospital.com or 740-425-5789.
