Defensive driving courses offered

MARTINS FERRY — The Martins Ferry Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding its next Defensive Driving Course on Sunday, Aug. 19, at East Ohio Regional Hospital in the Ruth Brant Maguire Room. The course will run from 7:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and will be taught by Vincent West. Students must bring identification.

The teen course is for teens who are about to or have just received their license. There is a cost. The course for adults is for adults wanting to have points taken off their license. There is a cost. Cost for each course includes all materials and instruction.

The last day to register will be Wednesday, Aug. 15, which means that all registrations and fees must be received at the Chamber by this date to be enrolled in either of the above courses. Only registered students will be admitted.

Registrants will be allowed one transfer provided they notify the Chamber no less than 24 hours prior to the starting date of the class. Otherwise, the registration fee will be forfeited if the student fails to report to class by the scheduled date.
