ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The JB Green Team is excited to have the annual Trashy Art Contest again this year throughout Belmont County schools.

The contest is open to kindergarten through 12th grades. The only rule is that the materials used for the Trashy Art project must come from the family recycling.

All entries are to be brought to the Ohio Valley Mall Center Court from 3-4 p.m. April 20 and can remain there until noon April 23. All projects are to be taken home after the winners are announced.

Anyone can vote for the Trashy Art entries, and voting will be 1 cent per vote and can be any denomination. For example, a penny is one vote, a nickel 5 votes, a dollar 100 votes, etc. Voters do not have to use pennies. All proceeds from the voting will be donated to a charitable organization.

Trashy Art winners will receive the following prizes sponsored by Ohio Valley Waste Systems:

– First Place — $100 Ohio Valley Mall gift card and T-shirt

– Second Place — $50 Ohio Valley Mall gift card and T-shirt

– Third Place — $25 Ohio Valley Mall gift card and T-shirt

All participating students will receive a certificate of participation.
