MARTINS FERRY — A new business that opened recently in Martins Ferry — ValleyWide Insurance — is the brainchild of sisters and proprietors Nicole Stephens and Amanda Capuano.

Located at the corner of Hanover Street and Zane Highway, ValleyWide’s focus is on customers. The agency provides free quotes on insurance ranging from auto, homeowners, health, flood, life and Medicare supplemental insurance to all other insurance needs from multiple insurance companies.

The combination of Stephens’ experience as a doctor of pharmacy and Capuano’s degree in human resources allow the pair to walk their clients through the complicated morass of insurance, particularly health care insurance, whether it be individual, group or a Medicare Advantage or Supplemental plan.

While the sisters are interested in selling their insurance products, they are most interested in providing residents of Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania with information that allows them to choose the insurance carrier that assists customers with managing their risk and protecting their assets.

“Insurance is becoming more and more complicated, and our goal is to understand the unique needs of each person and provide them the information and advice they need to make the right solution not only for their current situation, but also to keep up with their ever-changing life,” Stephens said.

ValleyWide understands that the explanation of the product is only a small piece of the client service puzzle. Capuano explains ValleyWide’s client service philosophy:

“We realize that our clients need a face in their time of need. Nobody wants to use insurance, but if that time comes they need an agent who has their best interests at heart,” she said.
