Local Memorial Day Services

∫ Bellaire: 11 a.m. Monday at Bellaire City Park

∫ Belmont: A parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. from the former school building and leads to the cemetery, where a service will follow. The Belmont County Military Veterans Museum, located at 101 E. Barrister St., will be open until noon that day.

∫ Benwood: At 11 a.m. Monday in front of the American Legion at 412 Water St. A reception with a small meal and drink will follow at the Fourth Street Shelter

∫ The village of Bethesda will dedicate the Murray Family Memorial Plaza on Monday. A veterans service begins at 10:15 a.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery. It will be followed by an 11 a.m. parade on Virginia Street. An American Legion service and the dedication will be held at noon and 12:15 p.m., both at the new plaza.

∫ Cameron American Legion Post 18 will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Cameron Veterans’ Memorial Park.

∫ St. Clairsville: At 11 a.m. Monday at Union Cemetery, conducted by American Legion Post 159.

∫ South Wheeling: At 10:30 a.m. Monday, Mass at Polish-American War Memorial located at the former St. Ladislaus Polish Catholic Church, 45th and Eoff streets, South Wheeling.

∫ Wellsburg: At 1 p.m. Monday at Veteran’s Memorial at Brooke Hills Park.

∫ Wheeling : At 10 a.m. Monday at Veterans Amphitheater at Heritage Port.

∫ Woodsfield : Monroe County Bicentennial Committee and local veterans organizations invite the public to the dedication of the Eleven Sons of Monroe Vietnam War Memorial Monument at 9 a.m. Monday in front of the Monroe County Courthouse in Woodsfield.
