Children and officials pose at the Bicycle Safety Day held last Saturday in Harrison County. Bakers IGA of Scio and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department partnered to host the event, where each participant received a free helmet provided by Kovarik Excavating and Hauling. The Scio and Perry Township volunteer fire departments also participated, as well as Tappan Volunteer Emergency Medical Service. The children also had their names put into a drawing to win bikes donated by the following businesses: Pepsi, UTZ Potato chips, B&F Dairy Bar, Conn’s Potato chips, Napa Auto Parts of Scio and Bakers IGA.
