Local man appointed ambassador for Reserve

BELLAIRE — Former Bellaire resident Robert L. Hill has been appointed ambassador for the state of Connecticut for the Chief, Army Reserves. Ambassadors are special government employees who represent the chief of the Army Reserve.

They carry a protocol status equivalent of a major general.

Ambassadors provide community outreach assistance to Army reservists and their families.

They provide feedback on plans, programs and needs to the commander of the Army Reserves, build relationships and strive to improve the understanding and knowledge of the Army Reserve within the business and social sectors of communities across America.

Hill attended West Liberty State College and is a graduate of the Ohio State University Law School. He is a former Times Leader paper boy.
