Buckeye Local High School is celebrating homecoming with a full week of festivities leading up to the crowning of the king and queen. The queen will be named at halftime of the game against Beaver Local on Friday. This year’s king will be announced during a pep rally earlier in the week. A homecoming parade will be held, weather permitting, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with the route extending from Buckeye South Elementary in Tiltonsville to World War II Memorial Stadium in Yorkville. The homecoming dance will follow from 7-11 p.m. Saturday at the high school.
