Continuous Care residents see Pirates play

Photo Provided

Wheeling Hospital Continuous Care Center residents and chaperones pose for a pre-game photo prior to departing for a recent Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park. Many of the residents express their lifelong enthusiasm in following Pittsburgh sports teams. With the help of the center’s activities staff, the residents were able to shop for Pirates clothing and even make posters to display during the game. The activities staff works to provide enriching experiences both in and outside the facility. Residents, from left, are Doris Collinvitti, Gerald Holler, John Palmer, Donald Gerrero, Daren Neidert, Catherine Fahey and Paul Villani. Back row, from left, are Wendy Longwell, activity coordinator; Christy Tarr, administrator; Patricia Purpura, family member of resident; Craig Blacker, van courier; Sandra Stalnaker, quality systems coordinator; Amy Pritt, activity aide; and Jack Fahey, family member of resident.
