MARTINS FERRY — Behavioral Health Center of Excellence Accreditation has recognized Kendall Behavioral Solutions with a three-year reaccreditation, acknowledging the organization as a top behavioral service provider dedicated to continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis.

KBS has now earned this distinction twice, consecutively.

“Kendall Behavioral Solutions continues to amaze us at the BHCOE with their innovative approach to Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy and quality care of both clients and their team,” said Sarah Litvak, CEO of the BHCOE. “In earning their three-year accreditation for a second time, they have truly set the bar for quality.”

Katie Kendall, owner and board certified behavior analyst at Kendall Behavioral Solutions, was recently chosen to sit on the BHCOE Quality Measurement Peer Panel to provide peer advice for the industry’s measurement standards. She was one out of 11 chosen in the country to help develop these standards of quality care for other agencies to follow.

“Earning our three-year re-accreditation is attributed to the hard work and dedication that this team delivers every single day. I am so proud to work with these talented BCBAs and registered behavior technicians who continue to advocate for quality care for our clients and their families.”

Kendall said her team is the heart and soul of the company, and their ability to work together and collaborate with other agencies and school providers in the Ohio Valley.

“We are very fortunate to have so many supporting community agencies that allow us to sustain our mission and values that KBS was built upon,” she said.

Kendall Behavioral Solutions is preparing to hold its grand opening of its new Outpatient Facility, anticipated to open by June. The building was formerly the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Martins Ferry, in which KBS has renovated to meet their needs while still paying homage to the original structure and chapel. The new facility will allow the team to provide services in a clinical setting, host their social and play groups, parent support groups and sibling support groups, along with areas for their older clients to build their functional living skills.

“We are always looking for new ideas and ways to support our clients and now we have the space to do it,” Kendall said.

BHCOE Accreditation recognizes behavioral health providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff qualifications and consumer satisfaction and promote systems that enhance these areas. These areas are measured with a wide-ranging audit, including interviews with agency clinical leadership, in-depth on-site observation, a detailed staff qualification review, an anonymous staff satisfaction survey and an anonymous consumer satisfaction survey.

BHCOE Accreditation is the only applied behavior analysis ABA-specific accreditation. It provides feedback regarding clinical best practices, staff satisfaction and turnover, and consumer protection. Acting as a third-party, the organization systematically measures and reports on existing quality criteria in the behavior analysis community using standardized methods and practices, and accredits only those service agencies that meet these standards.

KBS is built on providing high quality applied behavior analysis services to children of all ages. They work closely with other agencies and schools to provide a wraparound of services to best support the child and their family. KBS works with children who are diagnosed with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, traumatic brain Injuries, ODD, EDD, cognitive delays, behavioral disorders, trauma background, transitional services and more. Services are provided in your home, the school (if contracted), and the community. To learn more visit www.kbsaba.com/.
