Roxby Labs holding free post-holiday COVID testing

WHEELING — Roxby Labs is helping residents in the region make sure they can return to school and work after the Thanksgiving holiday while remaining comfortable in the knowledge they are COVID-19 free.

Roxby Labs is working with Ohio County Schools and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources to hold a post-holiday, free COVID testing event.

Testing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Sunday in the parking lot at the top of 22nd Street at the campus of the former Ohio Valley Medical Center.

The test is completely free and there are no residency restrictions. Only identification is required.

These tests will be processed the same day, and results will be available prior to work or school on Monday.

“Thanksgiving brings families together, but that also creates a risk of contracting COVID,” said Natasha Smith, chief scientific officer of Roxby Labs. “Testing prior to going back to work or school can help mitigate the spread of the virus and keep our schools and workplaces safe and operational.”

Drive-through, free testing clinics are open for the community at the former OVMC site from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Roxby Labs also partners with the health departments in Tyler/Wetzel, Marshall, Brooke and Hancock counties to provide free testing to all of those communities.

Roxby Labs is also available to employers to provide on-site weekly testing. To learn more about COVID testing business solutions, email testing@email.com or visit roxbylabs.com.
