BARNESVILLE — The Barnesville Exempted Village School District Board of Education recently recognized Barnesville Dairy Queen owners Robyn and Jim Misner for their strong support of the district’s schools.

The business was honored during Tuesday’s board meeting as part of the Ohio School Boards Association’s 2022 Business Honor Roll program. The program gives school districts a way to say “thanks” to local businesses and recognize them for their valuable contributions to schools.

OSBA provides personalized certificates to present to businesses as well as a resource kit to help school districts with their recognition activities.

“Barnesville Dairy Queen is a strong supporter of Barnesville schools,” said board President Denny Huntsman.

Huntsman said some of the Misners’ contributions include supporting the district by hosting fundraisers benefiting students, and “always willing to help our students.”

“Barnesville Exempted Village School District and its students, board members, administrators and staff would like to express their sincere appreciation for all that they do for the children of our community.”
