ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont College will be hosting a Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Open House from 4-6 p.m. July 21.

The event will take place at the College’s Mechanical Technology Center, located at 68633 Bannock Road, St. Clairsville just before reaching Belmont’s Main Campus. Driving from Interstate 70, the entrance for the MTC is 200 yards past the entrance to College Main Campus on Ohio 331.

The College HVAC/R faculty will be available to talk with prospective students and their families regarding the application process, curriculum, and job prospects. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour MTC’s newest equipment, which includes new training equipment (trainers), HVAC/R equipment, and new 3-D and virtual reality technology to be used in the classroom for training and instruction. Staff will also be on hand to answer questions about financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

“The HVAC/R program at Belmont College continues to grow and we are pleased to invite you to join us on campus and tour our updated facility,” said Keith Kaczor, assistant professor, HVAC. “The program was recently awarded nearly $1 million, through the ARC Power Grant, which has allowed us to fund new state-of-the-art training equipment including 3-D and virtual reality simulation learning.”

Additionally, a Contractor Open House will be held from 1-3 p.m. July 21 at the MTC. During this session, HVAC/R contractors are invited to stop by and learn more about the College’s HVAC/R Internship Program and how it can benefit their business as well as tour the facility.
