Bob’s site in Barnesville in use again

• Equipment Transport LLC finds its new home

BARNESVILLE — The old Bob’s Chevrolet building is home to yet another new business.

Equipment Transport LLC, a diversified well site services company, recently acquired use of the building located along Barnesville-Bethesda Road. Based in Carlisle, Pa., Equipment Transport provides fluid transport, waste management, traffic control services, equipment rentals and other services to companies engaged in oil and gas exploration and production.

The local branch of Equipment Transport previously was working out of the old Mediterranean restaurant building on U.S. 40 west of Morristown.

As of Monday, though, the company officially began business in the old Bob’s location.

Barnesville location Supervisor Paul Couch said that move was very beneficial to his company’s operations.

“We went from being able to fit three of our trucks at the Mediterranean to fitting all of our equipment” at the new site, Couch said.

Couch said there is still some equipment being stored at the old location for now, but it will all moved into the new building soon.

Prior to Equipment Transport occupying the site, the Bob’s building was home to Force Inc., an oilfield services company based out of Indiana, Pa. Force Inc. recently moved to a new location in Barnesville as well, which left the Bob’s space open for Equipment Transport. Force’s new address is listed as 63348 Bahmer Road, Barnesville, on its website; however, officials with Force Inc. could not be reached for comment.
