Crews respond to well pad fire

Emergency vehicles surround a drilling rig on EQT Corp.’s Titan Pad natural gas operation just east of Centerville on Monday evening. A fire at the site was reported about 7 p.m., and heavy smoke and fire could be seen as responders arrived; they quickly brought the blaze under control. In addition to the Smith Township Volunteer Fire Department, personnel from Belmont, Bethesda, Barnesvillle, OR&W Fire District, Brookside and the Belmont County Emergency Management Agency answered the call for help.
