ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Ohio University Eastern announced its slate of 2020 graduates despite the fact that no in-person commencement activities are scheduled at this time.

The traditional ceremonies were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but plans for those events will be rescheduled when it is safe for groups of people to assemble.

A letter issued to members of the class by campus Dean Jeremy Webster states:

“CONGRATULATIONS on your graduation!

“While we are extremely saddened that we are not able to celebrate this milestone with you and your families in person, please know that the faculty and staff at the Eastern Campus, are most proud of your accomplishments during this unprecedented time.

“We marvel at your perseverance and commitment to finishing your goals, and are thrilled to welcome you into the Bobcat family of alumni!”
