Cracker plant project attracting attention
DILLES BOTTOM – Federal, state and local officials gathered Thursday morning for a roundtable discussion about the ethane cracker plant proposed for Belmont County.
Deputy Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes met with Congressman Bill Johnson as well as county Commissioner J.P. Dutton, township trustees, school officials and other county leaders in Shadyside to talk about the status of PTT Global Chemical America’s plans. After the conversation, he and several others toured the project site at the location of the former R.E. Burger coal-fired power plant south of Shadyside.
