Interstate 70 closing Monday evening due to crash
BARNESVILLE – Traffic on Interstate 70 east was restricted Monday evening due to a crash, and officials said the roadway would be temporarily closed for cleanup.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, I-70 eastbound was restricted around 8:30 p.m. at the 200 mile marker, located just east of exit 198, due to a crash. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol planned to close I-70 by 9:30 p.m. in order to allow a towing company to upright a commercial vehicle. Once this is complete, the road is expected to reopen. Expect delays.
