FIRE DEPARTMENTS from Wolfhurst, Martins Ferry, Barton, Spirit of ’76 and OR&W Fire District in Shadyside battle a structure fire on Farr Road in Blaine. The departments used water from nearby Wheeling Creek to put out the flames. Belmont County sheriff’s Deputy J.D. Campbell said no one was injured to his knowledge. American Electric Power was also on the scene to make sure the fire did not interfere with power lines. Wolfhurst Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Roberts took charge of the situation. Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services was also on the scene to support the firefighters with drinks and other supplies.
