HELEN DOLEZAL

Born in Dillonvale, Ohio November 7, 1920, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Edward “Duke” Dolezal and by her beloved sisters, Lena Sonego and Theresa Holubeck.

She is survived by her brother, Francis Sonego of Arlington Heights, IL, daughter Marcia (Brad) Vincent of Rancho Palos Verdos, CA, son Alan (Elizabeth Gay) Dolezal of Tallmadge OH, and grandchildren Ashley and Madeleine Dolezal of Tallmadge, OH.

Helen’s kindness, compassion, and wit touched all who knew her. She was employed as Executive Secretary at The Valley Camp Coal Co. in Wheeling, WV, and later served for 30 years as Head Librarian at the Dillonvale Public Library.

Helen was an avid reader of both poetry and prose, an accomplished pianist, and a talented gardener.

She was a long-time parishioner of St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Dillonvale where she was a member of the church choir for many years. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 2nd St. Dillonvale, OH 43917.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10am at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church with Mgsr. John Kolesar serving as celebrant.

Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
