ROBERT E. LUCAS

Bob was born March 17, 1931 near Alledonia, Ohio, a son of the late Howard and Stella Dornon Lucas. He was a lifelong farmer and heavy equipment operator who will always be remembered for his readiness to help anyone with a task that they couldn’t accomplish by themselves.

Bob was a man of many talents and interests. He loved attending the Barnesville Livestock Sale. For many years, each Saturday he could be found at the sale barn, checking out the cattle, visiting with friends, and enjoying the food.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William R. “Bobby” Lucas; a daughter in-law, Teresa Randall Lucas; a brother, Leroy Lucas; four sisters, Georgia Myers, Marjorie Crum, Flora Mae Datluliak, and Shirley Perkins; nephews Jerry and Randy Lucas. Surviving are his faithful wife of 69 years, Betty Davis Lucas; his children, Nancy Lucas, Toni (Mike) Kanzigg, Tim (Jill) Lucas, Clint (Colleen) Lucas, Wade (Kris) Lucas, and Jodi (Dwayne) Garrison; 19 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three step- greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Schumacher and Sharlene LeBerth; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members, also many friends.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11a.m. Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery.
