FREDERICK WELLS

Frederick A. “Freddie” Wells, 74, of Barnesville passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Emerald Pointe Nursing Rehab.

Freddie was born on March 9, 1943 in Barnesville to Martha (Neuhardt) Wells of Barnesville and the late Charles Denver Wells.

Freddie was a 1961 graduate of Barnesville High School and a member of the East Main Street Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Freddie was retired from The Watt Car and Wheel, where he worked as an engineer. He was a member of the American Legion Post 168, BPOE 1699 and former member of the Barnesville Fire Department.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Richard Wells.

Freddie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Faye (Gatten) Wells of Barnesville; daughter, Tiffany (Ryan) Koster of Wooster; grandchildren, Kameron and Kooper Koster; two brothers, James (Sandy) Wells and Michael Wells; two sisters, Patricia (Don) Anderson and Sue Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Ev. Val Roxby officiating at Campbell- Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Freddie’s name to Hospice of Guernsey County.
