Patrick D. Mort, 77, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at Astoria Place of Barnesville.

Born August 31, 1939 in Adena, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl Mort and Pearl Bennington Mort.

A good husband and wonderful father, Patrick was very devoted to his family.

He attended Bethesda United Methodist Church, worked in the sales department for Doan Ford and served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dixie Simmons and Judy Nation; brothers, Roger and Jim Mort.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Mort of Bethesda, Ohio; daughters, Rhonda (George) Laurenz of Westerville, Ohio, Melissa (Brian) Palkowski of Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Dalton and Lane Funari, Jesse and Lindsey Landis, and Wyatt Palkowski; sisters, Gloria McCreery of Mineral City, Ohio, Patricia Cook of Uniontown, Ohio, Donna (Kenny) Huntsman of Lloydsville, Ohio; and brother, John (Shirley) Mort of Uniontown, Ohio.

Honoring Patrick’s wishes, a private visitation, service, and interment will take place at the convenience of his family.
