WALTON PARR

He was born May 10, 1932 in Middlebourne, West Virginia, a son of the late Samuel M. and Mae Weekly Parr.

Walton was a retired tech sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was a member of the Clover Ridge First Christian Church in Beallsville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie Baker, Eva Mead and Phyllis Eastham; and six brothers, Howard Weekly, George, Ben, John, Raymond and James Franklin Parr.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years and his childhood sweetheart since the second grade, Barbara A. Kearns; his son, Kevin M. (Betty) Parr of Beallsville, Ohio; one sister, Eleanor Stewart of Havana, Florida; and one brother, Joseph (Ellen Lou) Parr of Canton, Ohio. Also five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great- great-grand children; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Thursday from 5 until time of services at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Mary Susan Spencer Smith officiating.
