DAVID BARR

Born April 19, 1944 in Woodsfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Russell Barr and Hazel Holmes Barr.

He was retired from 1st National Bank of Barnesville, where he served as Vice President and then spent several years working at Sam’s Club in St. Clairsville.

Nothing brought David more love, peace, and contentment than his family and his grandchildren were priceless in his eyes. He enjoyed watching his family participating in all sports, but basketball was his favorite. David had an indescribable passion for cars and enjoyed golf.

Dave will be missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind; his wife of 31 years, Lynn Barr of Barnesville; son, Eric (Kristen) Barr of Henderson, Nevada and their children, Jacob, Caleb, Luke, and Hannah; daughter, Raquel McGee of Barnesville and her children, Sara and Isaac; son, Matt Hissom of Barnesville; sister, Thelma Johnson of Barnesville; and his special neighbor and friend, Richard Wells.

Guests are invited to a Memorial Service for Dave, 11 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Pastor Jeff Rich officiating.

In honoring Dave’s wish, a private interment, with his beloved family, will take place at a later date.
