BETTY ANN SIKORA

Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Sikora, age 88, of Pleasant Grove, Ohio entered eternal life on October 28, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio where she had been lovingly cared for by her three daughters for the past 3 years.

Born on May 9, 1930, she was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Doris Reilly, and her brother, James Reilly.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John E. Sikora, and her daughters, Teresa Sikora, Paula (Jeff) Martin, and Lorraine Sikora all of Columbus, sister-in-law, Helen Vascura, niece, Cheryl Morano and nephews, James Reilly Jr., David and Michael Vascura and dear friend, Karen Tarter, extended family and friends.

Betty Ann provided a nurturing home for her family and devoted her time and talents to raising her daughters.

Her encouragement, support and example have helped her girls lead meaningful lives. Betty Ann graduated from Martins Ferry High School in 1948.

She and John were married on May 29, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio. They were one of the founding families of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Colerain, Ohio.

Betty Ann worked as a telephone operator and a caterer. She enjoyed taking road trips and experiencing new places.

Betty Ann liked to sew, take photographs and go to casinos. She loved animals, especially her cats.

Even when she was living with Alzheimer’s the last few years of her life, Betty Ann maintained her sense of humor.

Calling hours will be at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. by Father Timothy McGuire and Father Dale Tornes at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, Ohio. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain.
