BRIAN ZAVATSKY

Brian Michael Zavatsky, 58, of Bridgeport/St. Clairsville passed away at Wheeling Hospital on July 25, 2019. Brian was a long-time member of East Richland Friends Church and shared his joyful spirit and love for the Lord with so many. He was always fun-loving and outgoing, a devoted Cleveland Browns and WVU fan, and loved by all who knew him.

Brian was preceded in death by Andrew and Julia Zavatsky (grandparents), Jennings and Violet Coates (grandparents), Ashley Ludwig (niece), and Kacie Solages (granddaughter).

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Ruthy Zavatsky, parents Bob and Bonnie Zavatsky, Siblings Bob Zavatsky (Laura), Beth Zavatsky Ludwig, Children Amanda Yates (Adam), Stan Duplaga Jr, Abbey Duplaga, and Angie Wilson (Nate). He was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren. In addition, he is lovingly remembered by brothers- in law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

Special thanks to all his doctors and nurses at Wheeling Hospital, VNS of Belmont, Kepner Funeral Home, and family and friends for help and prayers throughout the years.

To continue Brian’s legacy, he has chosen to donate his body to WVU Medical School for research.

Please join us for a celebration of Brian’s life on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 3 p.m. at Friends Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio with refreshments and fellowship to follow.
