DUKE PERTLAGA

He was born at Yorkville, Ohio May 5, 1925 a son of the late Samuel and Mildred Gurich Pertlaga.

Duke was a retired brakeman for the B&O Railroad, Chessie System and CSX. He was a member of the Jacobsburg United Methodist Church and a Navy Seabee Veteran of WWII.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Sophia Ruscak Pertlaga; a daughter Diane (Dr. Bruce) Blank of Stewartsville; a granddaughter Paulina Blank and a sister Mary Yoblonski of Neffs, Ohio.

Services were held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Burial followed in Glencoe Cemetery.

The Belmont County Veterans Assoc. conducted Military Honors at the funeral home.
