KIM KEMO

Kim L. Kemo, 64, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away at Wheeling Hospital on July 29, 2019. He was born on March 4, 1955 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis C. Kemo and Irene Yaterka Kemo, and his in-laws, Eugene and Bernadine Bolo.

He is survived by his two sons, Kris Kemo and his wife Shannon of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Bo Kemo of Arlington, Virginia. He is also survived by his friend and former wife, Jayne Bolo Kemo of St. Clairsville, Ohio. Kim is survived by his brothers, Jeff (Cissy) Kemo, of Columbus, Ohio, and Jack (Valerie) Kemo of St. Clairsville, Ohio and three nephews; Jay Kemo, Keith Kemo and Jake (Mallorie) Kemo; two nieces, Alexandra De Amicis, Miami, Florida and Francesca De Amicis, Chicago, Illinois, and sister-in-law, Jeanne Bolo De Amicis, Wilmington, North Carolina. Coco Kemo will forever be watching out the window for his car to pull into the driveway.

Kim was a retired deputy treasurer of Belmont County, a tax preparer for J and J Tax Service, and a realtor for Harvey Goodman Realty. He was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church and served as an Usher for many years.

He attended St. Clairsville High School and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. Kim was also a proud member of the Saints Club and spent many hours helping in various capacities to benefit the student athletes of St. Clairsville High School. He was also a member of the Fairpoint Polish Club and the American Legion.

Kim was a loving father, uncle and friend. If he couldn’t make you smile with his quick repartee then he would tell a good joke to keep you laughing. He had a wealth of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held there on Saturday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saints Club of St. Clairsville.
