Larry J. “Butch” Stewart, 70, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at his home supported by his family.

Butch was born November 2, 1948, in McDonald, PA, a son of the late Joseph R. and Bessie O. Workman Stewart.

He worked at Nacco 7 Mine and retired from A.E.P. Windsor Power. He attended the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Shadyside, OH.

He was a 1967 graduate of Woodsfield High School. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Butch was an avid fisherman, golfer, and truly loved his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Patty L. Brown Stewart; two sons, Matt (Dee) Hans and Chris (Denise) Stewart, both of Shadyside, OH; his grandchildren, Sommer Hans and Kirk Stewart.

Also, surviving are four brothers, Gary Stewart, Terry (Lynn) Stewart and Dennis Stewart, all of Woodsfield, OH, and Joe Stewart of Abilene, TX; a sister, Thelma Stewart of Woodsfield, OH.

In honoring Butch’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
