DAVID PROGER

David Allan Proger, 76, of Connorville, OH, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, at WheelingHospital.

He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on January 7, 1943, the son of the late Nancy (Mowrey) Proger Ella and Tony Proger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lance Starcher.

He was a retired steel worker, employed at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel for 38 years. He enjoyedplaying Euchre, cat-fishing, his 1951 Mercury and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Anna (Bachmann) Proger; two daughters, Mary Ann (Red) Beveridge of Raylandand, Lynn (Doug) Thomas of Tennessee; a son, David (JoAnne) Proger Jr. of Connorville; three grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Buck, Audrey Thomas and Douglas (Kaylee) Thomas; five great-grandchildren, Julia, Emily, Natalie, Anthony and Matthew; siblings, Lana Kennedy, Lonnie (Mabel) Starcher, Luck (Rose) Starcher, and Kevin (Nancy) Starcher; an uncle Paul (Lola) Mowrey.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with full military services at 1:45 p.m., with the Belmont County Veterans Association.
