JOHN PIERSOL
John Piersol, 83, of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at his home. John was born in Bethesda, Ohio, on August 26, 1936, to the late Smith Cunard and Martha (Brown) Piersol.
John is a United States Navy Veteran. He is a member of the First Christian Church in Barnesville. John was the owner of Piersol’s Service Station.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Smith Piersol; daughter, Stephanie Piersol Medley; grandson, Jason Medley; brother, William Piersol; and two sisters: Joanne Piersol Orrison and Elizabeth Piersol Kloss Fliss.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Karen (Iddings) Piersol; daughter-in-law, Lisa Piersol Howiler; son-in-law, Ed Medley; grandchildren: Christopher (Shelly) Medley, Desiree’ Medley, Katelyn Piersol and Johnathan Piersol; great-grandchildren: Cate, Charlotte, Charleston Medley, and Elizabeth Grace Parton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020, from noon until 6 p.m. at Campbell -Plumly- Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio, where service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.
